Playing the position of attackman on a variety of Ohio lacrosse teams, Cliff Kigar has been playing his summer tournament seasons with Haymakers Lacrosse in Columbus. His love of lacrosse began in the third grade, learning the game with the Olentangy Youth Athletic Association. At Olentangy High School, he joined the varsity squad about midway through his freshman season.
