IHOOT provides free accommodations at over 600 resorts in CONUS, Canada, Hawaii, Fiji and the Caribbean to help Active-Duty Military and Veterans reconnect . Especially following war, medical treatment and long separations from one another.

Vacations for Vets Mission

In Honor of Our Troops, aka IHOOT was founded at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. The Founder was a Director there and is a Vietnam era USMC Officer. Although America knew that soldiers were dying in combat, they were unaware of the challenges Veterans and their families experienced transitioning back to normal life, often permanently disabled. IHOOT provides rest and recuperation to help families reconnect, especially following war, medical treatment and long separations from one another.
