Steven Saslow - Consultant for the Blackstone Group
About

With more than 40 years of experience working in the business development industry, Steven Saslow currently serves as a consultant for the Blackstone Group, where he initially served as chief investment officer for the Blackstone Relative Value Fund. In 2005, Steven Saslow transitioned into the Blackstone alternative asset management (BAAM) group, where he managed hedge fund investments pertaining to fixed-income, emerging-market, and commodity funds.

In addition to his work as a consultant, Mr. Saslow serves as a mentor with Rutgers University’s Road to Wall Street program. There, he works closely with undergraduate students to help them secure internships and full-time jobs at Wall Street firms.

An active individual who enjoys the outdoors, Mr. Saslow enjoys hiking, fishing, playing tennis, and exercising. He also spends his downtime reading, and considers Tom Wolfe and Phillip Roth as two of his favorite authors.

His charitable endeavors include raising funds for his sons’ alma mater, the Browning School, as well as the North Country School in Lake Placid. He also raised money for a Holocaust-awareness program that allows for high school students to visit Holocaust memorial sites in Europe.
