Angela is a trained Spiritual Director and an ordained Baptist minister grounded in Baptist tradition and African American Christian Spirituality. She integrates contemplative practices through the literary arts, music and movement. Dr. Hooks peppers her practice with the Quaker spirituality concept to have "an experience of rather than the knowledge about the transforming power of Christ within" and the Benedictine rule "to keep in mind that she has undertaken the care of souls."
