Taunya A. Lowe, Ph.D. is the CEO of a human services and leadership development consulting firm located in Lawrenceville, GA, and the author of Wanna Start a Riot? Change. Affirmations, Confirmations, and Prayers. Dr. Lowe is an international speaker and trainer; a strategist, professor, and serial entrepreneur. Trained by John Maxwell and his team, she is a skilled change agent with a focus on developing people and organizations with her witty, engaging, and interactive style.
Dr. Lowe is a passionate leader who understands the concept of adding value to others and finds great reward in speaking and training, while offering practical solutions. Dr. Lowe has an impressive human services background which spans many disciplines which include: nonprofit organizations, academia, government, corporate, counseling services, consulting, strategic planning, group and individual leadership coaching and Mastermind Group facilitator.
Dr. Lowe has served in many leadership capacities which include, most recently, serving as an External Training Consultant for Wellpoint in the states of Georgia, Connecticut, California, Ohio and Virginia for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) implementation of the Healthcare Exchanges; Coordinator for Women's Treatment Programs for the State of Georgia, Training Coordinator for Deloitte's SACWIS Project with the Department of Family Services, Alabama; Program Coordinator for the YWCA of Greater Atlanta Encoreplus and the Georgia American Cancer Society where she lead countless numbers of volunteers. Dr. Lowe is also a Visiting Professor for DeVry University, and a Training Consultant for the Southeast Addiction Technology Transfer Center located at Morehouse School of Medicine Center for Primary Care.
Dr. Lowe is a native of Albany, GA, holds a Doctorate degree in General Human Services and a certificate in Diversity Studies from Capella University; a Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services, and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Community Health Education both from Clark Atlanta University. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
