Florian Leibert established the high tech software company
Mesosphere, Inc., in San Francisco, California, in 2013. A 15-year
veteran of the software engineering industry, he continues to head the
company in the position of chief executive officer. Mesosphere operates
using the open source technology, Apache Mesos, behind some of the
Internet’s largest websites, including Twitter, Netflix, and Airbnb.
Florian Leibert developed Chronos, a Mesos framework, during his time as
a software engineer at Airbnb. He has additionally worked as a tech
lead and engineer with Twitter.
Flo Leibert studied computer
science at an international university in Bruchsal, Germany, achieving a
bachelor of science. During his time at the university he took part in a
team competition hosted by the Association for Computing Machinery
(ACM), winning the local stage of the event and progressing to the
European ACM programming challenge. He additionally participated in the
2005 Model United Nations event. Mr. Leibert's interests outside of
technology and software design include river rafting and cycling.
