Based in Wyoming and Alaska, Jeffery Scott Fraser is a longtime
entrepreneur who currently owns the historic Tsaina Lodge. Collaborating
with his wife Ingrid, he is working to reopen the Valdez, Alaska,
property. Additionally, Jeffery S. Fraser invests in Job Pose, an
innovation-driven startup that offers new pathways for connecting
employers and prospective employees. His past experience also includes
positions in the 1980s with Webber Real Estate and AT&T Inc. He
completed a BS in Human Resource Management and an MS in Information
Systems at Friends University. During his graduate studies in Wichita,
Kansas, he began to conceptualize the creation of a number of business
ventures.
Mr. Fraser founded the National Information Consortium
and Kansas Information Consortium in the 1990s as companies that
provided individual and corporate clients with efficient ways of
interacting with the government via the Internet. In 1998, the
enterprises were combined into NIC, Inc., and headquartered in Jackson
Hole, Wyoming. The following year, Mr. Fraser took NIC public on the
NASDAQ and retired from running the company. In 2002, following the
dot-com crash, he was asked to return and he effectively strengthened
corporate performance before retiring again in 2008.
